Cartilage Tear
There are different types of cartilage tears:

Articular cartilage, which covers the ends of bones where the bones form a joint, can be damaged. Cartilage tears and articular cartilage damage can be associated with a lot of pain in the affected joint, usually caused by trauma. This isn't always a sports injury either.
